Each November, the Junior Board of Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky hosts the Charity Ball, which serves as one of the major fundraisers for the Home.
The 75th Annual Charity Ball took place Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Devou Park’s Drees Pavilion. Festivities began at 6:30 p.m. and included live music by Leroy Ellington and the E-Funk Band, a 5-star dinner prepared by McHale’s Catering, and a silent auction of fantastic goods and services donated by local and national businesses.
Proceeds from the ball have a direct and immediate impact on the Residential Treatment program offered by CHNK. Approximately 90 boys live at the Home each year, and the gap between state funding and the actual cost to care for each boy is $15 a day. Your attendance at the Charity Ball – and support of the event’s silent auction – helps us bridge the gap and truly offer our boys the best care that money can provide.
