Deaconess Health Check
After launching our Champions services in 2012, one piece of feedback we received consistently from our partner school districts was that their schools did not have the appropriate space needed to accommodate an expansion of our therapeutic services – including substance use treatment – for students and their families
Using our Devou Park and Burlington campuses didn’t make sense either, since neither campus is centrally located or easily accessible to the students and families in need of services. So in April 2015, Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky partnered with Deaconess Associations Foundation to open a new, centralized Deaconess Health Check location at 525 East Fifth Street in Covington, KY.
Fueled by a $318,000 grant from Deaconess and known as the Deaconess Health Check at CHNK, the 5,266 square foot office suite serves as the headquarters for our Champions team, allowing them to reach a greater number of youth and families in need of outpatient and intensive outpatient addiction services, as well as other behavioral health interventions.
Conveniently located immediately off a major interstate (I71/75), the facility is also on a bus line, offers free off-street parking, and is within minutes of multiple schools that use our services.
